Saint Pius X History

Saint Pius X Catholic School opened in the Greensboro community in 1955 in honor of Pope Pius X who had been recently canonized.  The school was first staffed by the Daughters of Charity from Emmitsburg, Maryland.

After continuous growth a new church was built in 1981 to accommodate a growing parish.  A new middle school wing was added in 1997.  In 2000 the new state of the art Athletic Center was dedicated in honor of Father Francis Connelly
